When a preschool teacher of over 15 years and an international recording artist combined their talents, Get Up 2 Grow was formed. In just a few short months volume 1 was created and volume 2 is currently in the works! Stevie & "B" are both creative, mindful and musically gifted. They hope to provide a positive message for their young listeners by continuing to produce quality children's music and entertainment.
Get Up to Grow is geared towards ages 0-5 years and can be used to enhance educational curricula & music programs for early learning centers, in home childcare, multi-age group learning facilities, homeschooling programs and music & art schools.

Steve Tolley
I have enjoyed working as a preschool teacher for over 15 years. Music and movement have always been an integral part of my early learning program in efforts to stay healthy and fit in a fun way. I have learned that music and dance are popular among all ages and that many skills can be acquired by utilizing music and movement programs in the classroom. Music that is rhyming and easy to sing helps children's memory skills and attentiveness. Dance and Movement help with muscle strength, coordination, spacial awareness and agility. I have listened to a lot of music over the years and I wanted to give my students something new and original to listen to. I also wanted to show my own kids that they could do anything they put their mind to (they have been asking me to make my own CD for a while now). My daughter Ava and I sometimes composed songs at night after reading and I liked it so much I decided to act upon my talent! When recording was underway I would play the songs for my preschoolers as they were completed. Each day I came in to school they would ask me if a new song was done yet. This was all the encouragement I needed, I knew Steve and I were onto something great!
When my friend Beth called and asked if I would help her create a children's music cd I said, "Sure, why not?". Music has always been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember and I am always intrigued by a new music project.
I am a musician, singer songwriter with a passion for all genres and of music. I like to be fun and creative with the music and give it a personal touch! I find it to be more meaningful and it really helps to connect with all audiences. Our music is for the young and "young at heart" and we hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed creating it!

Concerts & Events
Eliot Children's Festival
Come visit our vendor booth on Eliot Festival Day , September 29th. (Downtown Eliot, Maine). There will be a variety of vendors, music, food and more! Our music Cd's will be on display and we will also have a frisbee toss game for the little ones. We will be there from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.Step right up and you might win a prize! Happy Fall!
